Preparing the project plan and working with it during project implementation consists of the following steps:
- Create a project plan.
- Add project tasks to the chart, defining their types.
- Link the plan tasks to set up the order of their execution.
- Save the changes.
- If you are using a project template, check the deadlines and executors of the tasks, since they are copied from the template. Make changes if necessary.
- Publish the project plan. If a publishing process is configured for the project type, the plan will follow the specified route. The project tasks of Task and Milestone types will be assigned to users.
- Monitor the project plan to check the progress. Request estimated dates of tasks.
- Edit the project plan as needed, such as adding new tasks. The system administrator can enable the creation of draft plan versions after saving changes to the published plan.
- You can export the plan if you are simultaneously working on the project in other external systems.
- When the project is finished, archive it. Please note that you can always restore an archived project and resume working on it.
