BRIX supports structure versioning, including app versioning. When structure versioning is enabled, the system automatically creates:
- App version that stores a set of specific app settings captured when the version is created, such as form settings, element name, the Status field, and other settings.
- App page version that includes app settings related to page display that were configured when the version was created.
This allows you to restore a previous version of settings, for example, if an error occurs in the current version.
The first version of an app and its page is saved when the app is created or when one of the settings listed below is changed for the first time.

Creating an app version
An app version is created when the following settings are changed:
- Registration for Document-type apps
- Form settings
- App settings when the following options are changed:
- App name
- Item name
- Prevent simultaneous item editing
- Prevent save conflicts
- Bulk actions
- Enable context extension
- Item count display
- App item name
- Folder hierarchy
- Status field
- Counter (specific options)
- Signature settings
- Archiving settings
- Print form
Creating an app page version
The app page is displayed when users open an app and contains the list of its items. An app page version is created independently from the app version when the following options are changed in app settings:
- App name
- Description
- App icon
- Display settings
Example of creating an app version
- To the right of the Contracts app name, click the gear icon and select Form Settings.
- On the opened page, add a new property, for example, Sent to contractor on.
- Save the form settings. A window with the number of the app version to be created will be displayed.
- Add a comment and click Save.
After that, a version of the Contracts app is created in the system. It includes the app context with the set of properties and their settings as they were at the moment when the current app form was saved.
App and app page version history
o open the version list, click the gear icon to the right of the app name, select More > Version History, and open the required tab:
- App: contains app versions.
- Page: contains app page versions.
