The Business Calendar is used to establish a work schedule and specify working and non-working days. This information is used in business processes when calculating task deadlines or running a process on schedule.
For example, the payroll process should start on the 10th and 20th days of the month. If these dates fall on a non-working day, then the process start will be moved to the previous working day. Read more on how to do it in the Events article.

Short days and public holidays
Click + Exception, specify the date, and then set the exception type:
- Public holiday. Enable the Non-working day option.
- Short day. Specify working hours.
Please note, that you cannot specify a past calendar date as a short or holiday day. You can delete a set day by clicking the trash can icon.
When you have completed the settings, click Save changes to make the calendar available in the system. Short days and holidays are marked:
- Green in calendars of employees.
- Red in the drop-down calendar when selecting a value in the Date/Time type fields.
You can view short days and holidays for the previous period using the Load current year button. The data can be displayed sequentially for each year from the current year till 1970. The name of the button changes as the data is loaded.
Consider the example below, in which 2023 is the current year:
- The user has already clicked Load current year. Therefore, we see the data for the year 2023. At the same time, the name of the button has changed to Load year 2022.
- By clicking this button again, the user will add short days and holidays for 2022 to the list. And the name of the button will change to Load year 2021. In this way, it is possible to load data for several previous years sequentially.
