The widget is used to display linked tasks on app forms:
- Project Tasks. You can open the page of a project task in the Tasks workspace, as well as when viewing the project plan.
- Project Plan Element. The user can open the page of the element when editing the plan.
The widget is placed on the sidebar of the task page. The icon to the left of the task corresponds to a certain type of linking. The completed linked task will be shown crossed out in the widget. The user can also go to the page of the linked task by clicking on its name.
Configure the widget
Let’s see how to add a widget to a project task page:
- Display the Project Tasks app in the left menu of the workspace. By default, this app is hidden.
- Open the Project Tasks app view form in the interface designer.
- Drag the widget from the right panel of the interface designer to the sidebar of the customized form.
- In the opened window, on the Main tab, the Current Element (Project Plan Element or Project Task)* field is automatically filled in.
- On the Events and System tabs, you can change the widget’s system settings.
- Save the widget settings.
- To make the changes available to users, click Save and Publish on the top panel of the interface designer.
Similarly, you can add the Linked project tasks widget to the edit form of the Project Plan Element app.
