In the Product Catalog workspace, you can create a hierarchical catalog of company products with attributes that can be filled using customizable rules.
Here you can:
- Create a hierarchy of products by categories.
- Group attributes by their subject on different tabs of the product page. This simplifies the creation of a product with a large list of data.
- Add attributes with both fixed and configurable values.
- Set ranges of values for attributes or dependence on other attributes.
After creating the product catalog, the employee selects the desired product in the task received during the process or on the app item page, such as a lead or a deal. At the same time, they can fill the configurable product attributes with certain values only according to the specified settings.
To select, display, and fill product data on an app form or a task in a business process, use the Select Product widget.

The Product Catalog workspace is available after activating one of the paid CRM solutions that includes it. It can be used only by users who have a license for the solution.

The Product Catalog workspace offers two types of products:
- Simple. It contains only constant values of attributes set when creating a product in the catalog. An employee selects a ready-to-use product with specific values on the page of a lead or deal. For example, the Debit card banking product has the Citizenship attribute with the USA preset value. Other attributes of this product will also have specific values.
- Configurable. When creating such a product in the catalog, you can define rules for filling in its attributes. An employee selects a product on the page of a lead or a deal and indicates a specific value for the configurable attributes from the range or the list of acceptable ones. For example, in the Mortgage for young families product for the Age attributes you can specify a value from 18 to 35 years old, and for the Rate in % attribute the permissible value will be different depending on the amount and term of the mortgage.

The Product Catalog workspace expands the ability to work with company products compared to the Products app in the CRM workspace. For employees to use configurable products when working with customers, use the Product Catalog workspace instead of the Products directory in the CRM workspace.

What the Product Catalog workspace includes
In the Product Catalog workspace, users responsible for creating products work with the following apps:
- Product Catalog. It stores a list of simple and configurable products. Here you can start creating a product.
- Product Groups. It is a directory for creating product groups. Each group contains its own list of attributes.
- Product Categories. It is a directory for configuring the hierarchy of products in the catalog.
- Attributes. It is a directory for creating product attributes.
- Attribute Categories. It is a directory for distributing attributes into groups based on their subjects. The groups will be displayed on different tabs on the product page.
The workspace also contains service components for storing products created in the Select Product widget, for example, in leads and deals. The attributes of such a product are filled with specific values. Users do not work with these components, and the system administrator can hide them in the left menu of the workspace:
- Products. It is a service contract that is used in the settings of the Select Product widget. The sources of the contract are the apps placed under the separator. All items of these apps will be displayed on the contract page.
- Product Group Apps. A service app is automatically created under this separator when users create an item in the Product Groups directory. The product will be saved in a service app with the name of the respective group selected in the Select Product widget, for example, on a lead page.
Set up the Product Catalog workspace
To allow users to add a product, for example, to a lead and deal page, follow these steps:
- Fill the directories in the Product Catalog workspace. After that, employees can create products in the Product Catalog app.
- Place the Select product widget on the forms of the Leads and Deals apps. With the widget, an employee can select and fill it in with values the configurable attributes of the product in which the customer is interested.
The system administrator can also configure:
- A set of available actions on the Product Catalog app item page. By default, the product can be edited. You can also add buttons to delete the item, start a process, and others.
- Change of the product status. The default statuses for the product are Draft, Current, and Outdated.
