To keep system localization up to date, you need to update translations:
- After updating BRIX to a new version. If additional locales are configured in the company. For languages supported by default, translations are provided with the system version and applied automatically.
- After updating custom configuration. When adding new custom apps, changing field names, and so on.
This article outlines the general sequence of steps and does not replace detailed instructions. For each step, you will find links to articles describing the required actions in detail.
Update translations for a new system version
For each additional locale added to the system:
- Contact BRIX technical support to obtain a new .po resource file for locale-level translation.
- Translate the resources and create a Language pack module in the same way as when adding a locale.
- Install the module in your company. Only one module can be used for each language in the system, so the previously installed language pack for this locale will be updated.
- Check for new resources in the .po configuration-level files and update translations if necessary.
Update translations of custom configuration
If custom components have been added or modified in your company:
- Depending on your scenario, go to configuration-level or component-level translations.
- For new components, translate resources.
- For modified components that were previously translated, update translations.
