Create a request from the portal page

A request is a customer inquiry regarding a service. Users with access to the external portal of Service Desk can submit requests in the following ways:

  1. Open the request creation form using one of the following methods:
  • On the portal homepage, select a service page from the Services section.
  • On the Service Catalog page, choose a service and create a request.
  • On the top toolbar of any portal page, click the + Create Request button. Depending on how the administrator has configured the button functionality, either select a service from the catalog or proceed to create a request without a service.
  1. In the window that opens, specify:
  • The request type. For Incident type requests, select the category that the request belongs to.
  • The service.
  • The subject and text of the request.
  • The applicant’s contact information.

  1. Click Save.

The request will then be recorded in the system, and an operator will be able to process it.
