# Start processing a request

To begin processing a request, the responsible operator should do the following:

1. Open the request page with the **Accepted** status.

2. Click the **Start Work** button on the bottom toolbar.

The status of the request will change to **In progress**.

After the work on the request is completed, you can mark it as [completed](close-request.md).
