# Protect a solution with a password

When exporting a solution, you can protect it with a password. To [unlock](block_solution.md#unblock) and change such a solution after import, the [Administrator](360006871932.md#administrators) will need to enter the password. 



The password restricts access to unlocking the solution and prevents it from being accidentally unlocked by the users.

There are two ways to set a password for a solution:

- In [Administration > Manage Solutions](decision-management.md), on the solution’s page, click the **three dots** icon and click **Set Password**.

- On any page of the system, click the **(clip0118.png)** icon in the left menu and in the window that opens, go to the **Solutions** tab. Then, to the right of the solution name, click **Administration** and select the **Set Password** option.

In the opened window, enter the password and click **Save**.



Now, when importing the solution to another company, the password will be required to unlock it and get full access to its workspaces and app settings.



In the future, you can delete the password from the solution by going to **Administration** **>** **Delete password** in the **Workspace and Solution settings** window. Please note this option is only available on the BRIX system where the solution was created.
