# Solutions in BRIX

A **solution** is a set of different system components combined to perform general tasks. One solution may include [modules](360024498352.md), [workspaces](360007990371.md), [pages](360009924451.md), widgets, business processes, scripts, etc. For example, a business solution for organizing HR documentation may combine several workspaces, modules, and a configured  [external portal](service-portal.md) for interaction with external users.

In BRIX you can work with the following types of solutions:

- System solutions.

- Business solutions.

- Custom solutions.

## System solutions

These are ready-made [Service](service_overview.md), [CRM](crm_overview.md), [Projects](project-management.md) and [Document Management](document_management.md) solutions created by the vendor on the platform basis. They allow you to build communications with customers and sales, work with projects, and establish document management.

System solutions are included in the [platform](platform-distribution.md). Depending on the delivery, such a solution is activated by default, or you need to additionally activate it.

## Business solutions

These are ready-made solutions that can be imported into the system from BRIX Store. They expand the range of tasks solved with the platform and system solutions. Business solutions are developed by BRIX and our partners.

To work with a business solution:

1. Import it from BRIX Store.

2. [Unlock it](block_solution.md).

3. If you uploaded a paid business solution, activate its demo version for a trial period.

The installed business solution can be:

- [Updated](update_solution.md) by either installing the latest version directly form BRIX Store or downloading an .**e365** file from the catalog and uploading it to the system.

- [Deleted](delete-solution.md).

## Custom solutions

You can create such a solution [from scratch](create-solution.md) for your company.

If you want to transfer the created solution to another company, use one of the following methods:

- [Export it to an .е365 file](export-solution-file.md).

- Export it to the BRIX Store catalog. This option is available to BRIX partners. You can set a fee to import your solution from the catalog.

The solution can then be [imported from the .e365 file](upload-solution-file.md) to another company or imported just like a business solution and then unlocked.

To restrict access to [unlocking](block_solution.md) the solution after it has been uploaded to another company, [set a password](solution_password.md).

A custom solution can be [deleted](delete-solution.md).
