# Search by parameters on app item pages

[Search by parameters](360009669952.md#by-parameters) can be used not only on the app page, but also when selecting an item in the **App **or** Users** type field.

For example, you need to specify a contractor on the page of a new contract. You don’t remember the name of the company but you know the name of the contact person. To select the required company, click the magnifying glass icon.

A window with a list of companies will open. In the search bar, click **(clip0161.png) **to display the search form by parameters. The [main](360009669952.md) and [system](360009669952.md#by-parameters) fields of the **Companies** app are available on it. In the **Contacts** field, enter the name of a contact person and click **Search**.

In the same way, in the **Users** type field you can filter employees, for example, by their position or group.
