# Configure a module

After [creating](create-extention.md) or importing a module, you can make changes to it on the **Settings** page.

The **Settings** page is available if the module is not a part of a paid business solution. Such a module is marked with the **(manage-extention-1.png)**icon.

In addition, to configure a module as a part of a free solution, [unlock the solution](block_solution.md). Please note that locking the solution allows you to avoid unwanted changes and possible conflicts when updating the solution. You can save the changes made to the module before the solution update by selecting [soft update of the solution](update_solution.md).

To configure a module, go to the **Administration > Modules** page. Hover over the desired module and click on the gear icon that appears. Or select the module and click **Settings** on the connection page. The [module’s settings page](create-extention.md#page-manage-extention) will open.
