# App item status

The widget is available only for the view and edit forms of an app item. It displays the current [status](system_objects.md) of the item on the side panel. If users are allowed to change the status manually, they can change the status directly in the widget. 

To configure the widget, drag it to the canvas from the right panel of the [interface designer](interface_designer.md) or click **+ Widget**. To learn more, see [Form templates](360029250931.md). Fill out the settings in the pop-up.

- **App\***, **App Item\***. The values of these fields are set automatically.

- **Forbid to change the pipeline**. Enable to prevent users from moving items to other pipelines using the widget. This feature is used for:

	- [Leads](leads.md) and [deals](360012693559.md). 

	- Items of standard apps and items of the **Document**-type apps, where a pipeline is a custom group of statuses.  


## Events and System tabs

These tabs are for system settings that are the same for all the widgets. They allow you to configure a widget’s visibility and access to its data, define what happens, when the user moves or hovers the pointer over the widget, etc. Find out more in [System widget settings](common_widget_settings.md). 

To complete the settings, click **Save**. To make the changes available to users, click **Save** and **Publish** in the top toolbar.
