# Activate BRIX On-Premises

After installing BRIX On-Premises, activate the system:

1. Log in to the system. The activation window opens:

Steps following authentication for system versions older than 2023.11

1. If you are using a system version older than 2023.11, the activation window will be different. It includes an option for a free system activation for a trial period of two weeks. The activation process through the BRIX sales rep is the same as for versions above 2023.11

2. Fill out the form in the activation window. Check the box at the bottom of the form to agree to the terms of the user agreement and privacy policy.

3. Click the button **Try (2 weeks for free)**. After this, the BRIX application window will open.

You can also choose to activate through the company sales rep. For this, click the button **Activate through sales rep**.

2. Copy the **Server registration key** and pass it to the BRIX sales rep.

3. The sales rep will provide you with the necessary activation key: 

- A trial key. It activates the platform for no more than one month. It is not linked to the infrastructure, making it convenient to use during the [infrastructure preparation](infrastructure-preparation.md) period;

- A commercial key. The activation period of the platform is not limited. However, for the Enterprise edition, changes in [PostgreSQL](postgresql.md) connection settings may require reactivation of the platform licenses.

Any activation key can be applied within 14 days from its generation.

4. After receiving the key, paste it into the **Activation key**\* field and click **Activate**.

**Note**

After changing the infrastructure data, such as [PostgreSQL](postgresql.md) connection settings, you may need to reactivate the platform licenses. A notification will appear on the main page of the **Administration** workspace.

The activation must be completed within 7 days. After this period, the company will be frozen. Contact the BRIX sales rep for a new activation key.
