# System extension modules

Modules add functionality to BRIX and allow you to flexibly configure the system to meet the needs of your business.

Modules can be:

- Custom. These are modules [created](create-extention.md) by you or [imported from a file](import_extension.md), or imported as part of a [business](solution.md#business) or [custom solution](solution.md#custom_solution).  
  
Depending on the solution delivery terms, custom modules can be paid or free of charge.

- Pre-installed. These are ready-made modules that are delivered together with the BRIX system: telephony, messengers, electronic signature providers, and others.

In the **Administration** **>** **Modules** workspace, you can view the list of available modules, and [enable](connect-extention.md) or [disable](connect-extention.md#disable) a custom or ready-made module. To learn more about configuring pre-installed modules, as well as modules developed by the company and available in the BRIX Store, please refer to the [articles about these modules](-elma365-store.md).
