# Print documents with watermarks

In BRIX, files stored in app items can be printed or saved to a computer with a watermark. A ready-made or custom watermark template can be used.

The administrator can also configure the business process in which the watermark will be put in the file. This file can be saved to a variable and used in future work. For more information, see the [Insert Watermark](watermark.md) article.

## Open and print the document with the watermark

When the print form is configured, in the **Document** type app, you can print files with the watermark. In the app item page, you can do it in one of the following ways:

- Click **Print** above the uploaded file.

- Click the **(print-icon.png)**icon next to the current document version. The previous versions are printed without the watermark.

If the administrator has enabled the [downloading option](print-form-settings.md#additional-options) in the app settings, downloading the file to a computer in the **.pdf** format will be available in the print form.

In addition, you can view, print and download a file added to a [Files](360009707032.md#file_type) type property in an app of the **Standard** or **Event** type in the same way. To do this, the administrator [performs additional settings](print-form-settings.md#set-print-form) and adds the [Buttons: Download and Edit](save_edit_widget.md) widget or the [Upload and Preview File](load_file_with_preview_widget.md) widget to the app form.
